Resume writing. Most find it very difficult to determine what type of resume to create. Make it skills based? Chronological? Simple? Lengthy?
I’ve found that most companies prefer skills based resumes so it’s easier to identify if the candidate’s skills match the “key words” on their job description. Obviously higher level positions will typically require lengthier details outlining more specifics, but still formatting your resume to showcase specific skills will increase your chances to be considered.
With Human Resources departments experiencing reductions in staff due to the economic challenges, making your resume easy to review in a quick and timely manner is critical.
And just always keep in mind when you’re writing a resume…..Review it and ask yourself, “Would I hire this person based on this information?”
