It’s been a busy day! We had so many interviews today and my heart goes out to each and every one of you. I know the job search is tough…it’s draining…you feel like you’re being rejected everywhere you go. I know it’s hard to not show this during your interview, but I cannot stress this enough….Put the rejections behind you and try to approach each and every interview like it’s the job you know you’re going to get. BE POSITIVE! Negativity feeds on itself. You always want to give a good first impression.
Some really good insight can be found at http://www.wikihow.com/Get-a-Job . An example from this link states, “If you're doing a thorough job search, you will get rejected sometimes. If you're not getting rejected, you're not putting yourself out there enough. And if you don't learn to see rejection as a chance to improve your approach, then you'll have a very difficult time getting a job.”
Stay positive! One of my candidates today, who I apologized to since he’s been waiting for 4 months for a specific assignment said, “Good things come to those who wait.” Such a positive attitude will get you far!
